The KEX-HBT-SH100, HDMI KVM Extender, consists of a transmitter (host) and a receiver (console) that extend HDMI, Speaker Out, USB 2.0, IR, and RS-232 signals over CATx cabling. It transmits uncompressed 4K HDMI video up to 70–90 meters and 1080p video up to 100 meters through a single CAT6 cable.

USB 2.0 Extension

The receiver unit provides four USB 2.0 ports located on the front and rear panels, supporting both permanent and temporary USB peripheral connections. The system extends four USB signals up to 100 m over a single CATx cable.

USB 2.0 extension is compatible with Windows, Linux, and macOS. No software or drivers are required; simply plug and play. It is backward compatible with USB 1.1 and USB 1.0 devices to ensure reliable data communication.

Bi-directional IR Extension

The bi-directional IR extension supports a full frequency range from 38 kHz to 56 kHz. The distance between the emitter head and the IR port can be extended for flexible installation. An optional IR extension cable (up to 3 meters) is available separately.

RS-232 Extension

Full-duplex RS-232 communication between the transmitter and receiver is supported over a single CATx cable. This hardware-based solution enables remote access and control of RS-232 devices without additional setup or configuration. It is suitable for applications such as digital signage, industrial and commercial environments, smart classrooms, and smart home systems.

It is easy to install and requires no software or drivers.
