VEX-DHBT-1080LR

4K30 DisplayPort Video Extender over CATx with 2-Way IR, Long Reach Mode Function, PoC, 70m

This DisplayPort extender transmits DisplayPort video and bidirectional IR control signals over a single CATx cable using HDBaseT technology, supporting distances up to 70 meters at 4K@30Hz (4:4:4) and 100 meters at 1080p, with HDCP 1.4 compliance. The system delivers uncompressed, low-latency signal extension and operates in a plug-and-play configuration without additional software or drivers. Bidirectional IR pass-through enables remote control of source and display devices. PoC (Power over Cable) allows either the transmitter or receiver to power both units through the same cable, requiring only one power adapter. A selectable Long Reach mode extends transmission distance up to 150 meters at 1080p by reducing resolution, and additional hardware switch settings provide Normal and Auto Power Saving modes to balance transmission distance, resolution, and power consumption for various installation requirements.

Power over Cable (PoC) enables DC power transmission over the Ethernet cable, allowing either the transmitter or receiver to power both units. Only one power adapter is required, which is ideal when a power outlet is unavailable at one side.

The bi-directional IR extension supports a full frequency range from 38 kHz to 56 kHz for reliable remote control. The distance between the emitter head and the unit’s IR port can be extended for flexible installation (optional IR cable up to 3 meters available).

Remote Output Configuration (Slide Switch Settings)

To balance transmission distance, resolution, and power consumption, the extender provides the following operating modes:

Long Reach – Extends transmission distance up to 150 m at 1080p by reducing resolution

Normal – Factory default; supports 1080p and 4K resolutions

Auto Power Saving – Automatically reduces power consumption when operating at maximum 4K resolution
